Happy last day of February!  Where have the days gone, tomorrow is March?!  I'm up on the SugarPea Designs blog today with my teamie, Vera + Becky

I was inspired by both the sketch and the photo for the February Mix It Up Challenge.

I managed to combine the new Better Together with Caffeine Addict.  I love the Spots & Stripes Pastels Patterned Paper Collection.  I also used the Zig Zag Stitched Circles.

Reverse Confetti: happy birthday bouquet

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today I'm sharing a birthday card I made using products from Reverse Confetti!

I haven't used the Flower Wrap Confetti Cuts for a while and decided to use it for a birthday card.

TIP:  If a product is out of stock make sure you join the waitlist so that you're notified as soon as they are back in stock!

The wrap has been cut from Reverse Confetti packing paper.  This is something that I do love to use quite a bit on my projects.  It's a great shade of kraft and I love the added texture.

The 'happy birthday' is from the Sentiment Essentials stamp set + coordinating confetti cuts.  It has been stamped with Baby Blue ink on Premier Polar White cardstock.

The floral arrangement is from the Banner In Bloom stamp set + coordinating confetti cuts.

The pattern strip is from the Pattern Play 6x6 paper pad.

My card was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:

Hero Arts: Just a note

Hello and Happy Friday!  I'm up on the Hero Arts blog today but before you pop over there I did have another card to share here on my blog.  I made this card for a class I taught at Impress Cards + Crafts.  It features the House Stamp & Cut set.

I used a sentiment from the Layered Topiary stamp set.  I tend to forget that you don't necessarily need to color everything.  This shows how the house can be stamped with Intense Black and mounted on a panel with stripes of watercolor.  The sentiment makes it an all occasion card.

My project over on the Hero Arts blog is a more traditional new home design that uses a bunch of the Infinity dies, here's a sneak peek:

Spellbinders: Never Too Old

The wonderful folks at Spellbinders sent me the Die D-Lites Gears Etched Dies:

Here's how I was inspired:

If you've been following me for awhile, you know that I tend to be a clean + crisp kind of gal.  Those gears were calling to be on a project that is grungy....don't you agree?  The gears have been inked up with Black Soot Distress Oxide and Hero Arts Pumpkin Pie Mid-Tone Shadow Ink.

I'm a big fan of the ink smooshing technique.  The background is a combo of Distress Oxides in Black Soot, Peacock Feathers + Fossilized Amber.

The sentiment is by Verve Stamps, Words of Wisdom.

My card was inspired by CAS(E) this sketch!

Pinkfresh Studio Technique Talk Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Pinkfresh Studio Technique Talk Blog Hop!  Each project will feature a stamping technique, I can't wait to hop around!  You should have arrived here from the awesome Elena Roussakis' blog!  If not, you'll want to start at the beginning which is the Pinkfresh Blog.

There will be four Lucky Winners!  Pinkfresh Studio will be giving away four - $25 Gift Certifcates to the Pinkfresh Studio Store.  Comments will close at 11:59 pm CST on Monday, February 26, 2018.  Winners will be randomly selected and the requirement is that you leave a comment on each blog in the hop!  Winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 28th on the Pinkfresh Studio Blog.

Today I'm featuring the following stamp sets:

Do you see those delish layers of cake?  They've been stamped with dye ink.  I have then heat embossed a floral bouquet from Fleur 1 in white.

I then followed up with various copic markers, do you see the subtle shading?  A quick way to add a bit of detail to a solid image.

I finished off my card with rainbow confetti using the various copic markers I used on the cake layers.

At a quick glance it looks like it is a clean + simple design but I think the heat embossing really packs a punch, don't you?

That's it for me and I'm the end of the hop!  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Here's the complete hop listing in case you get lost along the way:

Spellbinders: Oceans of Joy

The wonderful folks at Spellbinders sent me the Die D-Lites Fishing Trip Etched Dies:

Here's how I was inspired:

I combined them with the Nestabilities Standard Circles SM Etched Dies.  The fish have Distress Oxide inks that have been smooshed.  I backed them with black cardstock to define their shapes a bit.

The sentiment is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse stamp set.

My card was loosely based on Freshly Made Sketches:

Reverse Confetti: You're Fabulous

Hello and Happy Sunday!  I'm sharing a card that was inspired by my Reverse Confetti teamie Melissa:

I inked up the Something Wonderful blooms with Zig Clean Color Markers on watercolor paper.    I layered two Pierced Round Top Layers.  The bottom panel had the blooms inked up with Stone.  A happy accident was that the blooms weren't entirely cleaned off so it gave it multi-color look but not muddied.   I wanted to soften it up so I layered a vellum panel on top.

The sentiment is from the Kindness Cards stamp set + coordinating confetti cuts.

Do you spy the strip of Avocado cardstock and Free Spirit strip of patterned paper?

My card color palette was inspired by Color Throwdown:

I was up on the Reverse Confetti blog the other day, here's a peek at my project with a customized stencil:
