Hero Arts: Joyous Birthday

The Hero Arts 2018 Catalog is now available!  If you didn't see it, I previewed another set earlier this week HERE.  The new products will be available at Heroarts.com on February 15th BUT you can find them at your favorite retailers now!

Today I'm featuring the K6270 Flowering Magnolia (also available DI482 Flowering Magnolia Frame Cuts).

I did some simple masking on the blooms which were stamped in Fresh Peach Shadow Ink.

The sentiment is from the CM226 Color Layering Nasturtium set.  It has been heat embossed in white on a panel from the Midnight Mix Layering pack.

Want to add some postal friendly touches?  You can add stripes with your score board.

Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders Collaboration: Happy Trails

Hello!  I'm back again with a collaboration with Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders.  You can check out my earlier posts HERE and HERE.

I posted this pic earlier on IG that features the Spellbinders Die D-Lites - Build a Camper:

Seriously, who doesn't want an airstream trailer?  I have many thoughts of converting one into my very expensive craft space LOL.

Here's how I was inspired by it:

I had so much fun designing this card!  The Camper is cut from a stone cardstock with avocado trim.  You can't tell from the photo, but the hub cap is glittery silver.  I used the Lawn Fawn Happy Trails stamp set for the sentiment.  The size and font were perfect for my design.

I used the same glittery silver cardstock for those Spellbinders Nestabilities Stars Five Etched Dies.

My card was inspired by the Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch:

Hero Arts: you're tea-rific

Have you heard the news?!  The Hero Arts 2018 Catalog is now available!  The new products will be available at Heroarts.com on February 15th BUT they you can find them at your favorite retailers now!

It's filled with so many new products!  My card for today features CM229 Woodland Tea Party.

The set is filled with such fun images!  I wanted them to be the star of the show so I loaded up my Mini MISTI (MISTI's are now available at heroarts.com!) with a bunch of the stamps and used Fresh Peach Shadow Ink.  I filled in spaces with the smaller images.

I topped it off with a sentiment from the same stamp set, heat embossed in white on a panel from the Midnight Mix Layering pack.

A super quick and fun design!

Reverse Confetti: hello!

Hello, I have a card to share with you this morning.  I had a fun card making session yesterday and was able to design a bunch of cards.  I shared three of them yesterday and here's another one.

This one features the Reverse Confetti Kitchen Love and Coffee and You stamp sets.  I love how the aqua + red just pop from the Stone background.

I combined the All Framed Up, Scallop Squares and Fancy Words confetti cuts.

I was inspired by Laurel Seabrook's Inspired by...Kitchen Love challenge:

Happiness is a cup of coffee.

Hello and Happy Saturday.  I have a bazillion things do do and what am I doing?  I'm playing with stamps and bits 'n bobs.  I managed to create 5 cards this morning, of course I'm a roll because I have to leave the house soon.  Here's my first batch:

I haven't inked up my Stampin' Up Coffee Cafe in much too long.  I teamed it up with the coordinating designer paper.

I seldom stamp with my Memento Rich Cocoa but doesn't it looks great with the aqua?!

I've said it before and I'll say it again.  I have a bunch of crafty stuff...today I worked on my bits 'n bobs pile.  I have so many little embellishments...I need to use them more often.

I generally tend to be a clean + simple designer but all these layers make me a happy crafter.  The colors scream spring, don't they?

I spied the newest Global Design Project and knew I wanted to play along!

Jan 21st

I have two cards to share with you today so let's get started!  The first one features:

City Buildings Cling Background
Seriously Amazing Sentiments

I was definitely encouraging my inner Tim Holtz on this one.  I tend to be a clean and crisp designer but knew that I wanted the City Buildings to be more grungy teamed up with the ultra awesome Seriously Amazing Sentiments.  Both have been stamped with Distress Oxide Black Soot.  I used a sheet of paper from the Pinkfresh Studio Boys Fort collection, which was already distressed looking.  I'm going to squirrel this one away for my boy who heads back to NYC this week.

Next up is a card that features the Kind, Fierce and Brave Mini set:

I teamed up the sentiment with The Ton's Flamingo Print cling background.  I love how this one turned out.  I've been pretty smitten with the pale pink + hot pink color combo.  The sentiment has been heat embossed in gold on a vellum heart.

That's it for me, I can't wait to see how Mayline Jung was inspired...she's your next blog!

Guest Designer for Inspired by...Sorry I missed your birthday

I was so excited when Laurel Seabrook reached out to me to find out if I would be a Guest Designer for her Inspired by Challenge!

Check out this very fun photo inspiration:

Here's how I was inspired:

I definitely drawn to the patterns, colors and texture!

I started with the Reverse Confetti Drop Cover Panel confetti cut in Stone.  I backed it with a Midnight panel.

The vellum circle is from the Fa La La Circle confetti cut and the sentiment and 'hat' is from Sno-Awesome stamps + coordinating confetti cuts.

I can't wait to see how you're inspired, make sure you check out Laurel's project
