Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders Collaboration: Joy & Cheer

I'm so excited to be a part of a collaboration between Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders!  Today I'm sharing a project that uses the Spellbinders - Platinum 6 - Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.  In case you missed my earlier post, check it out HERE.

I gotta tell you that I love the Spellbinders - Platinum 6!  Why?  It's a durable machine that also has a compact feature (photo one below is with the sides folded up, photo two below is with the sides down, ready for dies).  Regardless if I have the space on my desk for a die cutting machine, it's generally covered in projects.  I always tuck my die cutting machine away in a shelf that is close to my work space.  I can still do that with the Platinum 6.  Don't be deceived by the size, it's a great, sturdy machine.

Let's chat about projects, today I have a fun card that features the Deck the Halls Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.  I die cut it in traditional black cardstock.  Let's start at the bottom and work our way to the thop.  The pattern paper I used is American Crafts/Shimelle/Christmas Magic.  I used Distress Oxides to add some color to the text layer.  The sentiment is from Pinkfresh Studio's Joy and Cheer stamp set.  It has been heat embossed in Hero Arts white.

The christmas tree die cut has been adhered directly to the text panel.  The santa is actually on foam adhesives for visual interest.   It add a nice bit of POP to the card.

Reverse Confetti: Hello Friend

Pumpkins, love them.  Love anything pumpkin flavored too.  I have a Fall/Halloween inspired card to share for today:

The Reverse Confetti Fright Night 6x6 paper pad is filled with fabulous designs.  It is one of my favorites.  For today's card I worked with the Halloween themed papers.  Doesn't the bat panel look fun in the Pierced Round Top Layer?

The pumpkin is from the Pumpkin Patch confetti cuts.  The stem has been cut from Reverse Confetti packing paper.  The sentiment is from A Friend Like You.  The leaf has been cut from felt with the Build a Bunch confetti cuts.

I was inspired by The Heart Desires challenge #17:

Hero Arts: thank you

Hello!  Happy Saturday!  Over the years I've definitely warmed up to purples/lavenders.  Check out this card that is filled with Hero Arts.

The papers are Floral Mix Layering.  The lighter panel has been stamped with the Large Floral Background in Light Granite.  Don't you love the look?  The Handwritten Thank You stamp is a great way to finish it off.

Yay!  We're so excited to be hopping for the very awesome Wendy of SugarPea Designs.  I'm one of the newbies to the team but have been a long time fan of Wendy + SugarPea  Designs.  You should have arrived here from Amy Kolling's blog, if not, make sure you start at the SugarPea Designs Blog!

I decided to use one of Wendy's projects as an inspiration piece for my project today.  I love how she featured the new Mugs and Kisses:

Here's how it inspired me:

I used the same stamps and paper that Wendy and had fun designing!

Help us wish Wendy a very Happy Birthday!!!

Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders Collaboration: Everything is cooler with you

I'm so excited to be a part of a collaboration between Scrapbook.com + Spellbinders!  Today I'm sharing a project that uses the Spellbinders - Platinum 6 - Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.

Let's chat about projects, today I have a fun card that features the Building a Snowman Shapeabilities Die by Spellbinders.  I die cut it in white with the intention of inking it up with distress oxides when I decided to mask it off with a sticky note and load it up with Versamark and Hero Arts Copper embossing powder.  I love the crisp line and added texture that the embossing gives the die cut panel.

Check out all the wonderful details of the die cut.  I love the silhouette look, how about you?  To add a playful element, I backed it with Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Chill paper.

The sentiment is from the Lawn Fawn Beary Happy Holidays stamp set.

I'll be back soon with another project using the Spellbinders - Platinum 6!

Hero Arts: Dream Big

I'm up on the Hero Arts blog today featuring the Seal Family.

Here's a peek at all my supplies for today's card:

SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #36: Perfect Blend

Have you played along with the Mix it Up Challenge over at SugarPea Designs?!  Play with the sketch or the inspiration photo, or a bit of both!  You have all month to play along with us!   One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp the prize goes up to $50!

Here's how I was inspired by this month's challenge.  I used a bit of both for my design.

Oh yes, I adore the Mugs & Kisses set!  I teamed it up with the Spots & Stripes Pastels pattern paper collection.  I inked everything up with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.  It looks great with the lavenders, doesn't it?  I tend to ink most of my images in black but since it's cocoa, it had to be in Rich Cocoa.

Do you own the SugarCuts- Zig Zag Stitched Circles?  They're a go to for me!

Make sure you visit the SugarPea Designs blog to see how my other teamies were inspired!

Precious Remembrance Guest Designer: Fall Colors

Hello, I'm back featuring a project using some goodies from the Precious Remembrance Shop!   Today I'm playing with Happy Mail + Fall Colors!

I heat embossed a sentiment from the Fall Colors set in gold on vellum:

Fall Leaves
red, orange, yellow, gold
beautiful colors

The pattern paper is by Pebbles.  I stamped on both the front and back of the envelope using the Happy Mail set:

Something that I tend to forget but I think is such a nice touch is an envelope liner.  It adds a fun design element for the recipient.

Thanks so much for stoppin' by today!!!!  Make sure you check out the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!

Reverse Confetti: Life is Short...eat pie

Fall is Pumpkin pie season around here.  Oh, wait, I don't bake them but I wait for my girl or my ex-mother-in-law to bake them.

Love the Wonky Stripe Panel.  The sentiment is from Easy as Pie and the pie is the coordinating confetti cuts.  The top of the pie is Reverse Confetti
packing paper!

So the idea of this card was inspired by CAS(e) this sketch!

I was working off of 'memory'...LOL.

Luckily, it also works for the House of Cards - CAS Halloween and/or Colors:

I hope that you're having a great weekend!

Hero Arts: Nut-thing compares to you

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I'm crafting all weekend, how about you?  Today I have a bit of a fall inspired project.  Have you seen the Hero Arts Color Layering Squirrel set?

This guy is adorable, isn't he?  I stamped out the outline in Intense black and the detail layer has been heat embossed in copper.  Love that fun sentiment!  Do you spy the Designer Woodgrain?  The cork piece is from my stash.

I was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches:
